Back to Starkey for repair.\u00a0\u00a0It seems it shorted out.\u00a0 Again.\u00a0 Apparently, having it in my ear can do that.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I am a\u00a0meticulous when it comes to my hearing aids. They&#8217;re not toys or accessories.\u00a0 They&#8217;re my lifeline, my only\u00a0connection\u00a0to all things that have sounds.\u00a0 Maybe not a good connection, but they&#8217;re still better than nothing.\u00a0 So trust me when\u00a0I tell you, I take care of them.\u00a0 I take excellent care of them. I even invested in a machine to keep them dry that they stay in overnight.\u00a0I don&#8217;t wear them in the rain.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t let them get wet. I protect them from contact with any type of moisture.\u00a0 But for the umpteenth time, one of them (they take turns) has shorted out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In over\u00a025 years of wearing hearing aids, I have never, ever, never, ever, ever, never (get the point?) had trouble like this with a hearing aid.\u00a0 In fact, I&#8217;ve had very few problems at all.\u00a0 Even my old work horses, the Widex\u00a0P38s, which by the way, are about 9\u00a0 or 10 years old, only needed to be fixed once.\u00a0 And it was minor.\u00a0\u00a0And a long time ago.\u00a0 And what\u00a0I&#8217;m wearing now.\u00a0 And still work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Shame, Starkey.\u00a0 Shame.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You guessed it.
